On 6th August 1945 at 8:15 am Japanese time, an American B-29 bomber plane called "Enola Gay" dropped the atomic bomb "Little Boy." The bomb exploded approximately 600 metres directly above the "Hypocenter" located metres away at the Shima Hospital.
Over the next two to four months, the acute effects of the atomic bombings killed between 90,000 and 146,000 people. Hiroshima, Japan, December 2019.
